Handling the Inter-company business and corporate finance function of 20 Related parties in UAE and abroad. Reporting directly to the Group Finance Manger and working closing with the Group CFO on the below ;- Managing the end-to-end financial accounting functions (i.e. accrual, reconciliation and controls) over certain receivables and payables in high value business areas. Maintaining control over the timely capitalization on FA into the appropriate asset classes and depreciation rates. Review Group company submissions for timeliness, completeness and accuracy. Managing comprehensive project status reports that include commentary on actual cost v/s commitments. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Involved in business strategy and finance business performance of the Group as a whole. Liasoning with bankers for working capital requirements .
In the Financial Services Group of the firm my area of work, working as an Manager (Audit and assurance) in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) Group included: Developing overall engagement plans while identifying key risks and developing procedures to address them effectively; Coordination with Clients spread across Europe, USA, Singapore, Russia etc. and understanding their financial requirements; Working extensively with International financial Reporting Framework (IFRS) standards and guidelines. Ensuring compliance with UAE’s Federal Law, Labour Law and Commercial Companies Law 2015; Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as Bankers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts; Handling the financial set up of newly formed companies in UAE by designing business plans and building financial models; Fraud investigation for the timely detection of financial loopholes and breach of business policies; Preparation of feasibility studies and recommending solutions for garnering benefits; and Due diligence Audit , risk assessment analysis and conducting research on credit worthiness of companies.
